Controls are not the greatest. Improving the graphics/textures would be nice. Other than that it was fun roaming through this historical airship. It really shows what VR has in store for the future as far as eductional experiences go. There are other places to go and see than just the airship, including a mini hangar-museum that details what this airship was all about. Pretty rad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nOoSgq7xMs. I mean... I like that someone made this for VR, as a history buff...But there's like 5-10 minutes of gameplay, with the worst graphics I've seen in VR yet. Wouldn't be impressed if this were a free app, but for the cost of this??? Even on sale? Save your money.. As a bit of an airship enthusiast I was really impressed with Hindenburg VR experience. The author got every little detail right, including the front and back control center, pathways inside the airship, engine rooms, smoking room, restaurant, A and B passenger rooms and even illustrations on the walls! I visited a Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen, but here I actually learned more details about the Hindenburg internals.People who are dissapointed with this VR app are probably so because this is not a real game. It is a VR experience, and after you visit every place in the airship and play with scenarios (Hindenburg disaster and RC Hindenburg) there is not much else to do. It took me below two hours to finish everything. Still, I am interested in the topic, so it was good use of my money.. On the hole a generally enjoyable experience. I do hope the developer updates this experience later on as there is a lot of lost potential. Please allow normal walking options (my personal pet peeve) the current move setup forces you to clip through walls and floorsBetter textures,Different scenery options would really go well to give a better idea of scale and speed (good examples would be flying over the pyramids and the titanic, inside the hanger and at its maximum altitude. Animations for the crew and passengers.Maybe add information points around the ship (toggle on and off) so you can explore the ship at your leisure.. Excellent, if like me you are a fan of airships. Really gives a sense of scale that you could only get in VR (or the real thing). Obviously early access with some low res placeholder graphics. I hope the dev sells enough to bring it up to full potential with full res graphics throughout and scenery you can fly over. But it was well worth the money to me as is.. On the hole a generally enjoyable experience. I do hope the developer updates this experience later on as there is a lot of lost potential. This is an interesting experience and I did get a sense of the enormity of the Hindenburg. It was neat to see the sleeping areas, bar, lounges, cat walks, engine compartments, and other areas in scale. I would like to see more instruments and detailed textures. I would also like to see human figures on the ground to help perceive height and scale.Overall, I was happy with this purchase.. Whats here so far is great ! You really cant understand just how massive the Hindenberg was until you stand next to it and walk through it. The interiors of the Airship appear to be directly modeled and textured from actual photos of the ship and are all easily accessable via varous methods. For a one man team it is amazing to see how much has already been put in and I'd say at this point its at about 90% complete from what I expect to see in the finished product. This project is one of the first in what I hope is a long line of educational experiences in VR. The value of supporting projects like this cannot be understated. I can't wait to see how the crash scene works out. Where I'd like to see improvement if possible is some of the textures since they are apparently taken from original images can be a bit blurry. I am just learning the ins and outs of 3d modeling and I don't know much about creating textures so I don't know how easy it would be to fix this but It is noticeable. Other than that I've noticed the RC Blimp is kind of hard to control but that may just be my lack of practice. Overall I would highly suggest this as a purchase for anyone interested in History and anyone wanting to support the creation of future projects like this. The success of these first few educational projects may have a big impact on whether or not we see more of these in the future.
